My thoughts: Is this just another stunt? Perhaps this is a ratings stunt. If they got people that had talent, I might go back to watching it. Im sure there are alot of others that feel the same way! Mark is just so fake, infact they all are! I cant stand that Kyle and while he is on the show there is no way I would ever watch it!
Marcia Hines has threatened to quit talent show Australian Idol after a series of angry comments on Sunday night's show.
The former Queen of Pop lost her cool in a fist-pounding burst on air, declaring she "had the s****" with fellow judge Mark Holden over his harsh criticism of contestant Ben McKenzie.McKenzie, one of the most popular performers on the show, received the lowest number of votes after his performance of Stevie Wonder's Higher Ground.
Hines said Ben was "a shining light" and said "I don't think this is the end for you Ben." "The travesty is you want to be here when there are certain people who don't want to be here, and that's what's really bugging me," Hines said. Kyle Sandilands, another judge on the show, was also fuelling the fire while interviewing Holden on 2DayFM yesterday. News Limited reports Holden did not hesitate to push the 54-year-old diva further to the edge saying she should leave the show if the panel was scaled back to three judges. "I'm leaving because I don't like being in company that don't (sic) like me, Mark," Hines told Sandilands after calling into his show. Hines is seen as the mediator on the panel among brutal male judges Ian "Dicko" Dickson, Sandilands and Holden. Hines is not the only one who has been disgruntled with Holden over his sharp tongue. In August, the former King of Pop sought the help of police after a series of late-night phone calls sparked fears he was under attack from disgruntled contestants who failed to progress in the popular reality TV show. ''In an earlier season some cars were damaged by a contestant who would not take no for an answer,'' he told The Sunday Telegraph.
