Almost Christmas! 2011
Wow!!! The time has flown so fast. So many changes good and bad! At this point in time, I won't be working at Marsden SS in 2012. I was devastated at first but there are pros and cons to every situation. I will miss many people at Marsden however it will be exciting to meet new teachers, principals and children. Im going to look at it as change for growth. Sometimes plants need to be repotted to blossom and bloom! I think my principal has done me a favour!
I've been working on christmas cards these last few weeks. I've been using my Stampin' Up stamps and loving them!!! Here they are...

Term 3 week 1
Week 1 is over. My students have come back so chatty. It's like they are a different class. Its probably a developmental thing or that they have had no rules for 2 weeks, who knows! All I know is that Im not glad to be back. I really enjoyed my holiday. I wish I was rich enough to be self supportive but like my mum has always said... wish in one hand and spit in the other and see which one gets full the quickest. Hmmm... I guess I need to be proactive to get to the goal I would like. Not sure how Im going to do that though.
Yesterday afternoon we did perspective drawing. They really enjoyed it. We did a road leading to a city with flower beds on the side of the road. They didnt finish so we will work on that next Thursday. I have changed my art day from Friday to Thursday now due to a change of teacher aides. Now that I have a teacher aide on Friday afternoons, I will get her to work with a group of children playing maths games.
Today I have to begin our team's English plan. Oh the joy!
Its a good day for it really... raining and miserable outside so at least I won't feel as if Im missing out on something outside.
Until next time...

April Holiday 2011
I love holidays! The one thing I dislike is that my body clock doesn't get that I want to sleep in! So I still wake at the time I should be getting up 5am! Yay, it didnt happen this morning! I actually woke at 6.45am!
We are up at Alexandra Headlands in a little unit. The unit is absolutely awesome and immaculent! We love it, its our second stay here and I think we will be back. Sadly, whenever we come, it rains! It has rained the last 2 days solid and I wake this morning to rain again! We wanted to go the Eumundi Markets but that plan has been washed away!
A few days ago, Brad and I were watching a documentary of the Oasis of the Seas. Its a huge cruise liner. Its the first time I have ever got excited about a holiday overseas! I told Brad that we need to start saving because I really REALLY want to go on it! That is my goal now!!!
Now I need to think of a way to make some money!!!

The big news is that I will be teaching Prep next year! Im really looking forward to it too. Next year I hope to keep this blog updated with my happenings. I think since Facebook has taken over my life, I tend to forget about this blog! I think I will need to be more vigilant with this blog! It is a great reference for the year!

Hello for 2009!!!
Wow, I cant believe that I haven't posted here on my blog for that long! Here goes for 2009!!!
A lot has happened this year already! Some I'm glad of and some I regret! The good part is that Brad and I finally celebrated our Engagement. Allison offered to hold it at her place which was excellent! Thanks Allison! We are also going wedding dress/bride's maid dress shopping this week too!
Anyway, I will be back with more posts (I hope!)

What My Handbag Says About Me!

I just did this quiz with http://www.blogthings.com/ and well the last part doesn't sound right! Me quiet and reserved!!! Only at first when I don't know anyone or am new to an environment.
You tend to be relaxed throughout the day.
You are naturally at peace.
You are a very creative person.
Your life tends to be a whirlwind, but
you always seem to pull it together.
You are practical and down to earth.
You tend to be a rather reserved and quiet person.

Dog makes emergency call for owner

"Man's best friend" doesn't go far enough for Buddy - a German shepherd who remembered his training and saved his owner's life by calling the emergency dispatcher when the man had a seizure.
And it's not the first time Buddy has been there for owner Joe Stalnaker, a police officer said Sunday.
On a recording of the call to the 911 emergency number Wednesday, Buddy is heard whimpering and barking after the dispatcher answers and repeatedly asks if the caller needs help.
"Hello, this is 911. Hello ... Can you hear me? Is there somebody there you can give the phone to," says the dispatcher, Chris Trott.
Police were sent to Stalnaker's home, and after about three minutes Buddy is heard barking loudly when the officers arrived.
Scottsdale police Sergeant Mark Clark said Stalnaker spent two days in a hospital and recovered from the seizure.
"It's pretty incredible," Clark said. "Even the veteran dispatchers - they haven't heard of anything like this."
Clark said police are dispatched whenever 911 is called, but that Stalnaker's address was flagged in Scottsdale's system with a notification that a trained assistance dog could call 911 when the owner was incapacitated.
Clark said Stalnaker adopted Buddy at the age of eight weeks from Michigan-based Paws with a Cause, which trains assistance dogs, and trained him to get the phone if he began to have seizure symptoms. Buddy, now 18 months old, is able to press programmed buttons until a 911 operator is on the line, Clark said.
Clark said Buddy has made two other 911 calls when Stalnaker was having seizures.
He said Stalnaker's seizures are the result of a head injury he suffered about 10 years ago during a military training exercise.
Stalnaker was not listed in the phone book, and he did not immediately respond to a request through police for an interview.
